Platform Support & Onboarding Engineer

As part of the Platform Support & Onboarding team, you will play a key role in helping product teams successfully adopt and leverage the platform while ensuring a seamless experience throughout their data and software delivery journey. In this role, you will combine platform consultancy, technical support, software development, and stakeholder engagement. You will guide teams through onboarding activities, help them design and implement solutions using platform services, and contribute directly to the evolution of the Onboarding Hub, our AI-powered onboarding and enablement product. Through automation, integrations, and self-service capabilities, you will help simplify how users discover, access, and operate services across the Enterprise Data Platform ecosystem.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Act as a key technical contact for onboarding new product delivery teams to the Enterprise Data Platform, supporting platform adoption and helping teams make effective use of available services


• Collaborate with product teams, solution architects, and engineering teams to design and implement solutions using Enterprise Data Platform capabilities, including cloud services, data platforms, analytics, AI services, CI/CD pipelines, and developer tooling


• Contribute to architecture reviews and provide recommendations to ensure solutions align with platform standards, security requirements, and engineering best practices


• Provide technical support and consultancy to platform users, troubleshooting issues, coordinating escalations where needed, and working with platform engineering teams to support resolution


• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the Onboarding Hub and related platform products, delivering new functionality, AI-powered experiences, workflow automation, and self-service capabilities


• Design and implement integrations with enterprise systems and services, including Jira, ServiceNow, Confluence, cloud platforms, identity management solutions, and internal data platform services


• Support software releases and deployments across development, testing, and production environments to ensure reliability and smooth adoption of new features


• Identify opportunities to improve user experience and platform adoption through automation, process improvements, AI-assisted solutions, and enhanced onboarding experiences


• Collaborate with platform engineering and development teams to share user feedback and contribute to platform enhancements and product improvements


• Create technical documentation, onboarding materials, and knowledge-sharing content, and support training sessions and enablement activities for the wider user community

Requirements 

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field


• 4-5 years of experience in Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, Technical Consulting, Developer Enablement, or a similar technical role


• Hands-on experience developing applications and services using Python and modern software engineering practices


• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and system integrations


• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure


• Experience with SQL and modern data platforms, ideally within analytics or data engineering environments


• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, automated deployments, and DevOps practices


• Experience integrating enterprise applications and tools such as Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, identity management platforms, or similar solutions


• Exposure to AI-enabled applications, workflow automation, self-service platforms, or developer productivity solutions


• Experience working in Agile development environments and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams


• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders


• Professional proficiency in English
