Software Engineer in Test

Job Description

Position Summary

A role for a highly motivated Software Engineer in Test within our client's Quality Engineering organization. This individual will be responsible for designing and developing test automation frameworks and internal software utilities to ensure high-quality application delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to project design phases to ensure engineering solutions are automatable.
• Identify suitable automation frameworks and develop automation tests.
• Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Work collaboratively with engineering and business teams to define acceptance criteria for stories.
• Analyze and report test results, track project progress, and assess product release readiness.
• Support the organization's Quality Engineering best practices.
• Communicate effectively across globally dispersed teams and across organizational levels.
• Demonstrate an Agile mindset through actions and behaviors.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Over 10 years of experience in Software Quality Engineering roles.
• Proven programming skills in Java and TypeScript.
• Experience with continuous integration practices and automated deployment tools such as Jenkins.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks like Selenium, Karate, and Playwright.
• Strong understanding of Agile practices and ability to suggest improvements.
• Excellent technical acumen and engineering mindset.
• Ability to adapt to new environments and learn in-house developed tools and practices.
