REYNOLDS AMERICAN has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Cybersecurity Manager in Winston Salem

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cyber Manager to join BAT’s growing Cyber Resilience Team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our organization's information systems and data. Reporting directly to the Regional Information Security Officer (RISO), the Cyber Manager will lead efforts in managing and enhancing our cybersecurity posture across BAT. While this position will focus on enabling business functions in the US, this position will also support global cyber initiatives. This candidate will work closely with regional IT team and business functions to help support vulnerability remediations, new technology project assessments, and cyber technology delivery. They will work closely with management and other regional cyber teams to ensure consistency across the organization.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Develop and execute cybersecurity strategies, policies, and controls to protect enterprise systems, data, and operations.
• Drive compliance with security regulations, industry standards, and governance requirements.
• Support Security Operations through threat monitoring, detection, vulnerability management, and incident response activities.
• Lead security investigations, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures to reduce future risk.
• Assess and mitigate cybersecurity risks through proactive evaluations and remediation planning.
• Partner with business, technology, and service teams to embed security best practices across the organization.
• Manage security vendors and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance cybersecurity capabilities.
• Foster a culture of security awareness through training initiatives and continuous improvement of security processes and controls

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related Information Technology discipline.
• 6–10 years of relevant IT experience, with a solid foundation in cybersecurity or information security. Experience may include a combination of broader IT and cybersecurity roles, with demonstrated exposure to security assessments, technology risk, vulnerabilities, and security-related projects.
• Experience conducting security risk assessments, identifying threats and vulnerabilities, developing mitigation strategies, and prioritizing security controls to reduce organizational risk.
• Expertise in secure architecture design and implementation, including network segmentation, cloud security, secure communication channels, access controls, and integration of security controls within existing IT/OT infrastructures.
• Self-motivated and results-driven professional with the ability to strengthen team performance, contribute to strategic objectives, and support the overall security mission.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to assess complex situations, make data-driven decisions, and manage competing priorities.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices, including NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, and related governance and compliance requirements.
• Strong knowledge of network security technologies and concepts, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDPS), virtual private networks (VPNs), secure remote access solutions, and emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) applications in cybersecurity.
