About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in AWS Cloud, DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), GitLab CI/CD, Kubernetes, and Docker to support and modernize enterprise-scale data platforms. This role combines cloud infrastructure engineering, platform security, automation, and data platform enablement, supporting Data Lakes, Lakehouse, Data Warehousing, analytics, and real-time processing environments.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience architecting secure AWS solutions, implementing automated CI/CD pipelines, and enabling scalable data processing platforms using services such as AWS Glue, Redshift, S3, EventBridge, Athena, SageMaker, and Lake Formation.

Key Responsibilities

DevOps & Cloud Engineering

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
• Develop and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines supporting rapid and reliable deployment.
• Own end-to-end environment automation, provisioning, monitoring, and compliance.
• Leverage Docker and Kubernetes to modernize and containerize applications.
• Drive implementation of DevSecOps best practices throughout the SDLC.
• Ensure cloud environments meet enterprise security and governance standards.

Data Platform Enablement

• Design scalable Data Lakes, Lakehouse architectures, and Data Warehouse platforms.
• Architect and optimize AWS-based ETL/ELT, machine learning, and real-time data pipelines.
• Build and manage AWS Glue Catalogs, Glue Jobs, and data integration workflows.
• Support analytics platforms utilizing S3, Redshift, Athena, SageMaker, and EventBridge.
• Implement metadata management, data governance, lineage, and data quality frameworks.

Operations & Reliability

• Automate observability and operational workflows using CloudWatch, EventBridge, and AWS Lambda.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive corrective actions for infrastructure and application issues.
• Support large-scale deployments, monitoring, and testing initiatives.
• Document current-state environments, perform gap assessments, and provide strategic recommendations.
• Deliver technical leadership, mentoring, and cross-training to engineering teams.

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with developers, architects, security teams, and business stakeholders.
• Present architecture designs, roadmaps, status updates, and technical recommendations.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership across project teams.

Required Qualifications

Must-Have Skills

• 8+ years of DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in:
• AWS Cloud Services
• Terraform
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• GitLab CI/CD
• Docker
• Kubernetes / EKS
• Experience implementing DevSecOps and cloud security best practices.
• Strong understanding of AWS IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, and security governance.
• Experience with monitoring and observability using CloudWatch.
• Hands-on experience with automated deployment pipelines and cloud-native architectures.
