DevOps Engineer

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to lead and enhance our cloud infrastructure, security, and software delivery practices. This role will focus on building secure, scalable AWS environments, improving CI/CD and automation, and strengthening cloud governance and compliance using technologies such as Terraform, Docker, and GitLab. You’ll partner closely with Engineering and Security teams to establish best practices, improve developer productivity, and drive the organization’s overall cloud and DevSecOps strategy.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and maintain AWS-based cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform and Docker.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines in GitLab to ensure secure and efficient software delivery.
• Implement DevSecOps practices, including security scanning, vulnerability management, and compliance automation.
• Define and enforce cloud governance policies, cost management, and architectural standards across the organization.
• Build observability and monitoring solutions to enhance system reliability and incident response.
• Partner with cybersecurity teams to ensure audit readiness and adherence to control frameworks.
• Accelerate developer productivity through self-service tooling and standardized deployment patterns.
• Mentor engineers on cloud architecture and operational excellence, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies to drive innovation and technical direction within the organization.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 8 years in platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles, with deep AWS expertise.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and serverless architectures, including Lambda.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipeline management, preferably using GitLab.
• Expertise in DevSecOps practices, including security scanning and compliance automation.
• Familiarity with cloud governance, cost optimization, and architectural best practices.
• AWS certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills to influence technical and business stakeholders effectively.
