Position Highlights:

The Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer serves as a senior technical authority within the Cloud Delivery team, operating across a hybrid profile that balances modern Cloud/DevOps engineering (50%) and enterprise core infrastructure systems (50%).

The role operates with high autonomy to design, build, and maintain automated cloud platforms, CI/CD delivery pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions while planning, troubleshooting, and executing complex workload migrations between enterprise virtualization platforms and public clouds.

The Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer takes direct ownership of complex, cross-layer technical troubleshooting across both infrastructure and application tiers, mentors engineering peers, and collaborates with Cloud Architects.

Responsibities:

DevOps Automation, CI/CD & Infrastructure as Code:

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment workflows, and serverless architectures using Python, AWS Step Functions, and API Gateways.
• Author and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) across AWS, Azure, and GCP using Terraform, AWS CDK, and CloudFormation.
• Automate manual operations across compute, container environments (Kubernetes, ECS/ECR), storage, networking, and identity management.
• Implement DevOps monitoring, logging, and observability tools to track telemetry, ensure platform health, and meet SLA/SLO performance targets.

Cloud & Infrastructure Migrations:

• Plan, prepare, and execute complex workload migrations across public cloud and enterprise virtualization platforms (VMware, Nutanix, OpenStack).
• Perform technical discovery and pre-migration assessments to identify risks, dependencies, and potential technical blockers before execution.

Advanced Technical Troubleshooting & Problem Solving:

• Own complex and unfamiliar technical problems across operating systems, networking, storage, compute, and cloud platform layers from investigation through resolution.

DevOps Leadership & Operational Excellence:

• Act as a senior escalation resource for DevOps and migration engineers, assisting with difficult infrastructure and deployment roadblocks.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Enterprise Infrastructure.

Cloud & DevOps Engineering (50%)

• Cloud Architecture & IaC: Proven experience architecting and automating multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
• Containers & Serverless: Deep familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, and serverless stack design (AWS Step Functions, Lambda, API Gateways).
• CI/CD & Scripting: Strong Python programming for custom tooling/APIs alongside expertise in Git workflows and modern CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Workload Migration: Practical experience migrating workloads between hypervisors (VMware, Nutanix) and public clouds using migration tools (e.g., Nutanix Move, AWS MGN).

Enterprise Infrastructure & Systems (50%)

• Virtualization: Expertise in managing enterprise hypervisors (VMware vSphere/ESXi, vCenter, Nutanix AHV), high availability (HA/DRS clusters), and VM lifecycles.
• Networking & Security: Solid foundation in core networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, subnets, routing, DNS/DHCP), firewalls, VPNs/IPsec, and load balancing.
• Storage Systems: Strong understanding of SAN/NAS architectures, iSCSI, NFS, RAID, datastores, and storage performance troubleshooting (IOPS, latency).
• OS Administration: Proficient in production-level administration, configuration, and troubleshooting for both Linux and Windows Server platforms.
