Midlevel Full Stack Engineer

Location: Hyderabad (Hybrid)

Timings: 4.00am IST - 1.00pm IST (Australia Time Zone)

Contract: 6 + months

This role will work on consumer facing applications in digital chapter with responsibilities for both frontend and Backend applications.

Looking for someone with 7+ years of experience.

Experience with event publishing and AWS services like SNS, SQS, S3 are helpful and/or experience with auth and identity (oidc/oauth 2.0)

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to delivery of features across frontend, backend, and integrations, following established architecture and patterns.
  
• Build high-quality, maintainable code with strong focus on testing, performance, and security (shift-left mindset).
  
• Apply existing engineering standards and best practices (coding, CI/CD, observability, DevSecOps).
  
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker and AWS EKS, ECS services).
  
• Collaborate within the squad to break down work, refine requirements, and deliver iteratively.
  
• Participate in technical design discussions, contributing ideas and feedback, but not owning final decisions.
  
• Work with BFF (Node.js, Hono) and integration layers (e.g., MuleSoft) to implement end-to-end flows across the experience layer.
  
• Basic understanding of Single Sign-On (SSO) concepts and common authentication/authorisation flows.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the stack, including production support and root cause analysis.
  
• Support and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance on code quality and development practices.
  
• Continuously improve own skills in modern frameworks (React, NextJS, ModernJS), backend patterns, and cloud-native development.
  
• Contribute to incremental improvements in tooling, pipelines, and developer experience within the squad.
  
• Experience working with AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or similar.

Requirements

Important to your success

• 7+ years of professional experience in software development.
  
• Proven experience designing and delivering scalable, cloud-native full stack platforms.
  
• Fundamental expertise in frontend development and state management (ReactJS strongly preferred).
  
• Fundamental backend API experience including microservices, BFFs, and event-driven architectures (good to have experience in AWS services like SQS, SNS, AWS Lambda).
  
• Hands-on experience in DevOps, CI/CD automation, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and production-grade platform delivery.
  
• Experience with cloud platforms (preferably with AWS services like EKS, ECS, DynamoDB)
  
• Proficiency in communication, and Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  
• Experience in the Insurance or Financial Services industry is highly regarded.
  
• Having a mindset and the ability to align technology decisions with business outcomes.
  
• Interest or experience in AI engineering (e.g. integrating AI services, prompt engineering).
