Kafka Infra Automation Engineer

Role Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Kafka Infrastructure Automation Engineer with 7-10 years of infrastructure automation experience The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing developing and automating the deployment and management of Confluent Kafka platforms across private and public cloud environments

This role requires strong expertise in Terraform Python and Ansible along with the ability to collaborate with engineering operations security and application teams to deliver scalable secure and resilient messaging solutions Relevant enterprise references show strong alignment with Confluent Kafka Terraformbased infrastructure automation Python scripting and securityfocused platform engineering

Key Responsibilities

Design develop and maintain infrastructure automation solutions for deploying and managing Confluent Kafka environments across cloud platforms

Develop Infrastructure as Code IaC solutions using Terraform and automation frameworks using Python and Ansible

Gather and analyze business requirements from Line of Business LOB teams and translate them into scalable technical solutions

Collaborate with Engineering Operations and Application Support teams to design and optimize messaging infrastructure and Kafka services

Create automation for platform provisioning testing validation and operational support activities

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure deployment testing performance and platform stability

Define and implement IT security standards controls and best practices across complex projects

Perform security risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies to address vulnerabilities and compliance requirements

Document technical designs operational procedures security controls and implementation plans

Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation reliability resiliency and operational excellence

Act as a key contributor in enabling secure scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure solutions

Required Skills

7-10 years of experience in DevOps Infrastructure Engineering or Platform Engineering

Strong handson experience with Confluent Kafka Apache Kafka

Expertise in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code IaC

Strong programming and automation experience using Python and Ansible

Experience with cloud platforms AWS Azure GCP or private cloud environments

Strong understanding of CICD pipelines infrastructure automation and configuration management

Knowledge of messaging systems distributed systems and eventdriven architectures

Experience with LinuxUnix administration and shell scripting

Strong troubleshooting debugging and problemsolving skills

Experience with security controls risk management and compliance frameworks

Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, performance and internal equity.
