Network Engineer

Network Engineer – Saclay, France | Up to €50,000

We are recruiting for an experienced Network Engineer to join a global organisation supporting a complex, multi-site enterprise network environment.

The role combines day-to-day network operations, troubleshooting, infrastructure improvements and project work across on-premise and Microsoft Azure environments.

Location: Saclay, France

Working model: 3 days per week on site

Salary: Up to €50,000 gross per year

Start: ASAP – candidates with up to 1–2 months' notice can be considered.

Responsibilities

• Operate and support LAN, WAN, SD-WAN and wireless infrastructure.
• Manage Cisco switching, routing and wireless technologies.
• Support Fortinet/FortiGate firewalls, VPN, remote access and network segmentation.
• Support Azure networking including VNets, routing, NSGs, VPN and related network services.
• Troubleshoot network incidents and performance issues.
• Implement approved network changes and releases.
• Support DNS, DHCP, IP addressing and IPAM.
• Monitor network availability, performance and capacity.
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams and operational runbooks.
• Work with third-party providers, MSPs and carriers.
• Contribute to network projects, migrations and infrastructure improvements.
• Participate in an on-call rota supporting critical services.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years' experience in network operations.
• Strong Cisco routing and switching knowledge.
• Hands-on Fortinet/FortiGate experience.
• Azure networking experience.
• Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP and HSRP/VRRP.
• Experience with VPNs, firewall policies and NAT.
• DNS/DHCP and network monitoring/troubleshooting knowledge.
• Experience working within Incident, Problem and Change processes.
• Fluent French and English.
• Able to work from Saclay 3 days per week.

Experience with CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet certifications, AZ-700, Ansible, Terraform, NAC, Zero Trust/SASE or regulated environments would be advantageous.
