Position Summary
Systems Administrator to support, maintain, and optimize enterprise infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Windows Server administration, Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Entra ID, virtualization technologies, networking, and end-user support. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the security, availability, and performance of IT systems while delivering exceptional support to internal users.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support Windows Server environments, including system configuration, maintenance, patching, and troubleshooting.
- Manage and maintain Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including user provisioning, group management, role-based access controls, and identity lifecycle management.
- Support hybrid identity environments, including Azure AD Connect synchronization and Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations.
- Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and licensing management.
- Manage virtualized infrastructure using VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or similar platforms, including virtual machine provisioning, maintenance, monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Monitor system health, capacity, and performance across servers, virtual environments, cloud services, and endpoints.
- Respond to user inquiries and provide Tier 2/Tier 3 technical support for hardware, software, network, and access-related issues.
- Troubleshoot VPN, remote access, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and connectivity issues.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and related peripherals.
- Manage endpoint security, patch management, antivirus, and compliance initiatives.
- Assist with backup and disaster recovery processes, ensuring business continuity and data protection.
- Maintain IT asset inventories, software licensing records, and technical documentation.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including account creation, access management, hardware deployment, and security compliance.
- Collaborate with IT teams and business stakeholders on infrastructure projects, cloud migrations, upgrades, and technology implementations.
- Ensure adherence to IT security policies, cybersecurity best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
- 5+ years of experience in Systems Administration, Infrastructure Support, or Enterprise IT Operations.
- Strong experience supporting Windows Server and Windows desktop operating systems.
- Hands-on experience administering Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and hybrid cloud environments.
- Experience with identity and access management, including MFA, Conditional Access, SSO, and Azure AD Connect.
- Experience administering virtualized environments utilizing VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, Hyper-V, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, and wireless networking.
- Experience with system monitoring, patch management, backup solutions, and disaster recovery processes.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users.
