Cloud Platform Engineer

Job Description

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• 7+ years of Total IT experience, including 5+ years of experience with AWS platform
• 5+ years of experience in Linux/Unix Administration.
• experience with automation/configuration management using Ansible, Terraform and Jenkins/Concourse.
• experience using a broad range of AWS technologies (e.g. EC2, ECS, EKS, ELB, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM,
• CloudWatch, ECR, Lambda, APIGW) to develop and maintain an Amazon AWS based cloud solution,
• with an emphasis on best practice cloud security.
• Good knowledge of relational database concepts and SQL skills are needed
• AWS IAM services experience.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and scripted pipelines with focus on Jenkins
• Good communication skills, client-facing role
• Ability to understand the big picture and clarity of thoughts to actively contribute to solutioning
• calls involving multiple teams
• AWS certification – AWS certified solution architect associate.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Analyze project requirements and estimate AWS infrastructure needs, providing technical recommendations
• for scalability, performance, and cost optimization.
• Design, deploy, automate, and maintain AWS cloud-based production systems while ensuring high
• availability, optimal performance, security, and scalability.
• Oversee build pipelines, production releases, and configuration management to maintain system integrity and
• deployment reliability.
• Recommend and implement infrastructure improvement, and architectural changes to drive operational
• excellence
• Diagnoses and resolve complex issues across platform and application domains, leveraging deep AWS expertise.
• Suggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvements.
• Must be able to work unsupervised if needed.
• Interpersonal skills include effective verbal and written communication with staff, key leaders, and
• other departments.

Salary Range-$120,000-$180,000 a year
