Our Digital Technology Group builds and runs the cloud platforms and shared services behind Arup’s data, analytics and digital products – and we’re looking for a Platform Engineer to help take them further.

• Build and run secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and shared platform services used by teams across Arup.
• Automate everything you can – Infrastructure as Code in Terraform, CI/CD pipelines and self-service tooling.
• Improve reliability and security through monitoring, incident response and sensible governance.
• Work alongside platform engineers, data engineers and architects, with real scope to shape how we engineer.

Is this role right for you?

• You have experience in platform engineering, DevOps or cloud engineering, supporting production workloads.
• You’re hands-on with a major cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP) and with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform.
• You’re confident with Git and CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) and script your way out of repetitive work, ideally in Python.
• You’ve worked with containers or serverless, monitoring and alerting, and you keep security front of mind.

You enjoy collaborating, keep learning, and can explain technical ideas to non-technical colleagues.
