About the Role

We're looking for a talented DevOps / Platform Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering secure, cloud-native solutions for major UK organisations. This is an excellent opportunity to work across modern cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, CI/CD tooling, and platform engineering practices while collaborating closely with software engineers, architects, and technical stakeholders.

You'll play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable infrastructure and deployment pipelines that support business-critical applications. This position offers exposure to a wide range of technologies, ongoing learning opportunities, and the chance to contribute to technical improvement initiatives across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and improve cloud infrastructure platforms.
• Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines to support software delivery.
• Automate operational and infrastructure management tasks.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code solutions using modern tooling.
• Support production environments, ensuring reliability, availability and performance.
• Collaborate with developers and architects to improve platform capabilities.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment and cloud-related issues.
• Contribute to operational best practices, security standards and platform improvements.
• Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate.

Requirements

• Active SC Clearance.
• Commercial experience in a DevOps, Platform Engineering or Cloud Engineering role.
• Experience working with AWS cloud services.
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of source control and automation tools such as GitHub and Jenkins.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash or PowerShell.
• Ability to work collaboratively within Agile delivery teams.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
