NOC Lead

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a NOC Lead to support a federal program with the Department of Energy (DOE) and National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) in Manassas, VA. The NOC Lead will oversee 24x7x365 Network Operations Center operations, ensuring the availability, performance, security, and operational integrity of enterprise infrastructure and services.

Responsibilities of the NOC Lead include:

• Lead 24x7x365 NOC operations, ensuring continuous monitoring, availability, and performance of enterprise infrastructure.
• Manage major incidents, escalations, outage response, and service restoration efforts while meeting SLA requirements.
• Oversee network performance optimization, operational readiness, change implementation, and risk mitigation activities.
• Supervise and mentor NOC analysts and engineers, ensuring adherence to SOPs, effective shift handoffs, and workload management.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams while providing operational reporting, metrics, and service communications.

Qualifications for the NOC Lead include:

• Active Top Secret clearance with investigation completed within the last 5 years.
• 5-10 years of experience in IT Operations, Network Operations, Systems Administration, or related technical environments.
• 2-5 years of experience leading technical teams within a 24x7x365 NOC or operational environment.
• Experience managing incidents, outages, escalations, service restoration activities, and SLA-driven operations.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, firewalls, Cisco IOS-XE, Cisco NX-OS, Arista EOS, Spine/Leaf architecture, and WAN technologies.
• Experience supporting Windows and Linux environments and utilizing tools such as Splunk, Ansible, Tenable, GEMS, Riverbed NetIM, Wireshark, and PAN-OS.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms.

Compensation for the NOC Lead includes:

• Salary: $190,000
