Software Engineer (CI/CD)

We are seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and efficient software delivery. In this role, you will bridge the gap between development and operations, leveraging your development background to automate workflows, optimize deployment processes, and enhance system reliability.

These are hands-on, client-facing roles, with openings at senior or lead level to suit your experience. You may be leading teams, setting technical direction, advising clients or solving tough engineering challenges. Our clients include large global corporations and government departments, and you’ll be working on systems that make a difference to millions of people, within a company that is friendly, welcoming, and where individual contributions always make a difference.

It is expected for the Engineer to spend at least 2 days per week in the local Scott Logic office.

What are we looking for?

• You have built and deployed applications in Rust, Java, C# or JavaScript.
• You've got experience designing, implementing and maintaining end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.
• You are comfortable automating deployment, scaling, and monitoring processes.
• You are able to collaborate closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline workflows and troubleshoot pipeline issues.
• You can support development teams to migrate their builds onto this new pipeline.
• You’re a problem-solver, pragmatically exploring options and finding effective solutions.
• You have strong communication skills and take a collaborative approach to your work.
• You have an interest in good practices around security, reliability, observability, cost efficiency, performance and governance – collaborating with others to ensure these are in place.
• For lead roles, you have good technical leadership experience, understanding what makes a team successful and how to support colleagues in their own career development.
• You can work on the support rota to support tickets related to this pipeline
