8+ years in Infrastructure, Virtualization, and Cloud Platforms with at least 4+ years of hands-on Nutanix experience. The Nutanix SME will serve as the technical lead for Nutanix-based infrastructure solutions, responsible for architecture, implementation, migration, operations, optimization, and troubleshooting of Nutanix environments. The individual will work closely with infrastructure, cloud, virtualization, security, and application teams to deliver highly available, scalable, and secure hybrid cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Nutanix Platform Administration skills & understanding
•
Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Nutanix HCI clusters.
•
Manage Nutanix Prism Central and Prism Element environments.
•
Perform cluster lifecycle management, upgrades, patching, and firmware updates.
•
Monitor cluster performance, health, capacity, and resilience.
Infrastructure Modernization & Migrations
•
Lead VMware to Nutanix AHV migration initiatives.
•
Execute migration assessments, discovery, and workload dependency analysis.
•
Plan and execute VM, application, and infrastructure migrations with minimal downtime.
•
Work with migration tools such as Nutanix Move and automation platforms.
Architecture & Solution Design
•
Create HLDs, LLDs, implementation plans, and operational runbooks.
•
Design scalable HCI solutions for datacenter, edge, and hybrid cloud environments.
•
Provide sizing, capacity planning, and performance optimization recommendations.
•
Support security, DR, backup, and compliance requirements.
Technical Leadership
•
Mentor infrastructure engineers and administrators.
•
Provide technical guidance during solution pursuits, assessments, and customer workshops.
•
Support solution proposals, and customer presentations.
•
Participate in governance, architecture reviews, and best-practice adoption
Automation & Cloud Integration (Additional skills)
•
Integrate Nutanix with monitoring, backup, security, and ITSM tools.
•
Automate infrastructure tasks using PowerShell, Python, Ansible, or REST APIs.
•
Support NC2, hybrid cloud, and Kubernetes initiatives where applicable.
•
Drive operational efficiencies through automation and standardization.
•
