Role Description The AWS Cloud Instructor will deliver structured, practical training in Amazon Web Services to learners at various skill levels in a remote, contract capacity. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and teaching live online classes, creating and updating course materials, labs, and projects aligned with current AWS practices, and demonstrating core cloud concepts such as compute, storage, networking, security, and cost optimization. The instructor will guide learners through hands-on exercises, support them in preparing for relevant AWS certifications, and provide constructive feedback on assignments and projects. Additional activities include collaborating with the academic team to refine curricula, tracking learner progress, and maintaining a supportive, inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and growth.

Qualifications

• Strong AWS cloud skills, including practical experience with core services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC) and familiarity with security, monitoring, and cost management best practices.
• Demonstrated instructional or training skills, such as curriculum development, lesson planning, delivering online classes, and assessing learner performance.
• Proficiency with cloud-related tools and workflows, including infrastructure-as-code (e.g., CloudFormation or Terraform), CI/CD concepts, and basic Linux and networking fundamentals.
• Clear, confident communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to beginners and intermediate learners in a structured, accessible way.
• Experience using online learning platforms, collaboration tools, and remote teaching technologies to deliver interactive, engaging sessions.
• Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect – Associate) are highly beneficial.
• Prior experience as an instructor, trainer, or mentor in cloud computing or related fields is an advantage.
