Software Engineering Manager

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Leader to guide a high-performing team responsible for building and enhancing complex web-based business applications. This role requires strong technical depth in Microsoft technologies combined with proven leadership experience across the full software development lifecycle.

You will be responsible for driving technical excellence, mentoring engineers, supporting delivery commitments, and collaborating cross-functionally with product and architecture teams. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will influence both people and platform direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of software engineers, promoting best practices and high standards of code quality

• Partner with product, architecture, and business stakeholders to plan, design, build, test, and maintain scalable web applications

• Design and develop business logic, APIs, data models, and database objects

• Guide sprint planning and execution while removing technical and process roadblocks

• Coordinate work across multiple agile teams to ensure alignment and minimize cross-team impact

• Participate in solution design reviews and peer code reviews

• Research and recommend architectural approaches for new initiatives

• Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, tooling, and delivery

• Contribute to performance management, coaching, career development, and compensation discussions

• Leverage approved AI-enabled development tools and automation to enhance productivity across requirements, design, development, testing, and deployment

• Promote secure development practices and proactively surface risks or concerns

• Support broader organizational quality and operational improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional web development experience

• 5+ years of experience leading or mentoring engineering teams

• .NET Core (C#)

• ASP.NET

• HTML

• CSS

• JavaScript

• 3+ years of experience building and deploying applications in Microsoft Azure, including cloud-native architecture patterns

• Strong database development experience using T-SQL, including complex queries, stored procedures, and functions

• Experience incorporating AI-assisted development workflows is a plus
