About the Team:

The Tooling and Factory Automation team sits at the intersection of design, manufacturing, and automation, making everything from large-scale structural fixtures to small tools that directly enable Terran R’s production. As a design group embedded within the manufacturing organization, we dig deep into the needs of our internal partners to understand root problems, propose solutions, and deliver hardware to help build faster, scale smarter, and work better. The team is also at the forefront of Relativity’s growing factory automation efforts, an increasingly critical part of scaling production of Terran R at existing and future facilities. You’ll have the autonomy to make decisions, field solutions, and see them in action on the factory floor. Ultimately, you’re not just delivering tools or automated processes; you’re defining how rockets and factories get built.

About the Role:

• Collaborate with leadership to forge a strategic growth roadmap for the Tooling and Factory Automation org that propels company-wide objectives and partnerships
• Create and facilitate team infrastructure in the form of frameworks, digital productivity tools, and physical resources
• Coordinate people, scope, timelines, interactions and communications to achieve the highest standards of team effectiveness and service to customers
• Contribute to innovation through direct engagement in design activities and definition of strategic technological initiatives
• Establish and track metrics that define the team’s impact

About You:

• Degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or related fields; mechanical, aerospace or electrical engineering degree preferred
• 5+ years in program or project management role(s)
• Experience managing multiple customers across matrix organizations and building sustainable processes
• Experience in the manufacturing of complex parts and assemblies
• Proven ability to solve challenging technical problems and develop robust, scalable solutions

Nice to haves but not required:

• •Experience in the development and integration of tooling and automated manufacturing equipment
• High volume manufacturing experience

Hiring Range:$152,000—$228,000 USD
