Senior Linux Administrator with Ansible

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Linux & Ansible Automation Engineer to join our Infrastructure Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, automating, securing, and maintaining large-scale Linux environments while driving infrastructure standardization and operational excellence through automation.

You will serve as a technical expert for Linux systems and Ansible automation, partnering with infrastructure, security, and engineering teams to build reliable, scalable, and secure enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage enterprise Linux infrastructure across multiple environments.
• Build and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available Linux platforms.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, patching, and deployments using Ansible.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize modular, reusable Ansible playbooks and role-based architectures.
• Configure and manage Linux systems including RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, and SUSE.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex infrastructure issues.
• Implement system hardening and security best practices.
• Manage filesystems, LVM, RAID configurations, networking, and boot processes.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve operational efficiency through automation and Infrastructure as Code.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
• Support platform scalability, reliability, and performance optimization initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on Linux administration experience.
• 5+ years of advanced Ansible automation experience.
• Deep understanding of Linux internals, including:
• Process management
• Memory management
• Storage architecture
• Kernel concepts
• System performance tuning
• Expertise with:
• RHEL/CentOS
• Ubuntu
• SUSE Linux
• Strong experience in:
• Linux security hardening
• System configuration management

• Advanced Ansible skills:

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) or AWX.
• Experience developing custom Ansible modules, plugins, or filters.
• Red Hat certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, RHCA).
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of container technologies and Kubernetes/OpenShift environments.
