Release Manager

Cognizant Romania was established in 2018 when Cognizant acquired Softvision, a company founded in the late 1990s in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. We continue to build on our history as the preferred engineering partner for thriving Silicon Valley tech companies, now as a prominent Cognizant next generation studio.

We are seeking an experienced Release Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Release Planning & Scheduling: Develop and manage release plan across PODs including Release deliverables/Features, Release timelines
• Support on processes for data availability, Architecture approvals, risk and compliance reviews etc.
• Coordination across PODs for dependency planning and scoping
• Support dependency and conflicts across teams/PODs
• Support prioritisation and approvals for environment set up, data availability etc
• Risk Management & Mitigation
• Participation in Go/No Go Decisions and communication

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and ITIL frameworks
• Experience with release orchestration and automation tools
• Experience with MLOps/DataOps tools (e.g., MLflow, Airflow)
• Proficiency in version control and configuration management
• Ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex dependencies
• Risk assessment and problem-solving capabilities
• Communication and stakeholder coordination
• Knowledge of Data and AI projects and concepts
