Senior Platform Engineer (Golang)

In this role, you will drive the development and operation of cloud-native platform services that enable scalable, secure, and resilient Kubernetes-based environments. Working closely with platform, infrastructure, and product engineering teams, you will take ownership of the full service lifecycle, from architecture and implementation to production operations, helping shape mission-critical distributed systems used at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop cloud-native platform services, Kubernetes Operators, Controllers, and Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs) using Go
• Own end-to-end delivery of services, ensuring reliability, scalability, operational excellence, and rapid incident resolution in production environments
• Collaborate closely with platform engineers, DevOps specialists, architects, and product teams to align technical solutions with business needs
• Build, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes clusters from the ground up, including installation, configuration, upgrades, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management
• Implement and improve GitOps-based delivery processes using tools such as ArgoCD or Flux to accelerate secure and automated deployments
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and maintenance using Infrastructure as Code practices with Terraform and Ansible
• Establish monitoring, alerting, and observability frameworks using Prometheus and Grafana, defining and tracking meaningful SLIs and SLOs
• Optimize distributed systems and microservices architectures, ensuring high availability, performance, and operational efficiency across cloud environments
• Contribute to engineering excellence through code reviews, technical mentorship, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Advanced experience with Golang development, including 5+ years building production-grade backend services and cloud-native applications
• Strong hands-on expertise in Kubernetes administration, including deploying, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining production clusters from scratch
• Proven experience developing Kubernetes Operators, Controllers, and Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs) using Go
• Product-oriented focus in applying engineering practices
• Proficiency in contributing to product evolution, taking product technical ownership, and contributing to product end value through successful delivery
• Solid knowledge of microservices architectures, distributed systems design, and service-oriented platforms in cloud-native environments
• Practical experience with Linux administration, shell scripting, and operational automation
• Strong proficiency with GitOps methodologies and deployment tools such as ArgoCD or Flux
• Hands-on experience implementing Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform and Ansible
• Good understanding of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, including operational and integration considerations
• Practical experience with observability practices, including monitoring, alerting, metrics collection, and SLI/SLO management using Grafana and Prometheus
• Strong English communication skills with experience working in Agile, multicultural, and distributed teams
• Proven skills in working autonomously, taking ownership of complex initiatives, and contributing to high-quality engineering standards through code reviews and team support
