Compensation: $170,000 - $233,000 Base Salary

Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Principal Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver enterprise-scale software solutions that support both customer-facing and internal business applications. This role requires a highly technical engineer with deep expertise in C#/.NET, Azure cloud technologies, software architecture, and distributed systems.

The ideal candidate has a strong track record of building scalable, high-performance applications, driving architectural decisions, mentoring engineering teams, and delivering cloud-native solutions in complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement enterprise-grade software solutions using C# and .NET technologies.
• Architect and build scalable cloud-based applications utilizing Microsoft Azure services.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs, microservices, and service-oriented architectures.
• Lead technical design discussions and establish engineering best practices.
• Drive software quality through automated testing, code reviews, and development standards.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, and engineering teams to deliver business-critical solutions.
• Participate in proof-of-concept initiatives, technology evaluations, and modernization efforts.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across multiple development teams.
• Contribute to CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud deployment strategies.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Extensive experience developing enterprise applications using C# and .NET.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Expertise designing and implementing REST APIs and microservices.
• Advanced SQL Server and relational database design experience.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented design principles, design patterns, and software architecture.
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and modern testing methodologies.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Strong understanding of source control, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building cloud-native applications and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies and modern deployment architectures.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks and modern web application development.
• Exposure to continuous integration and continuous delivery tooling.
• Experience in highly regulated or large-scale enterprise environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
