Systems Administrator

Summary:

Responsible for maintaining the security, reliability, and performance of our IT infrastructure while ensuring compliance with aerospace industry standards. This role bridges technical expertise with operational understanding.

Job Duties:

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise servers, workstations, and networking equipment
• Manage Active Directory, user accounts, group policies, and access controls across the organization
• Monitor system performance and security logs; respond to alerts and incidents with urgency
• Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions with tested failover procedures
• Support virtualization environments (Hyper-V/VMware) and evaluate cloud infrastructure needs
• Collaborate with production floor to support manufacturing systems and prevent unplanned downtime
• Ensure compliance with AS9100, ITAR, and other aerospace/quality requirements as they relate to IT
• Manage vendor relationships and evaluate hardware/software solutions
• Document configurations, procedures, and changes; maintain thorough asset and change management records

Job Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with Windows Server administration and Active Directory management
• Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls)
• Demonstrated experience with backup/disaster recovery and system monitoring tools
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms (Hyper-V or VMware)
• Proven ability to prioritize competing demands and work under pressure
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• Security-conscious mindset with understanding of basic cybersecurity principles
• Experience with Epicor Vantage ERP system, version 8 and above, is highly desirable
• Manufacturing experience highly desirable
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, bend, stood, crawl regularly.

Compensation: $90,000 – $110,000 per year
