Optomi, in partnership with an industry-leading client, is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to help drive the reliability, security, automation, and evolution of enterprise infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments. This is a hands-on technical leadership role working across platform engineering, Kubernetes, DevOps, automation, and infrastructure security.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead platform strategy and technical direction across infrastructure, cloud, networking, and DevOps environments.
  • Improve platform reliability, performance, monitoring, automation, and operational processes.
  • Design and maintain containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and Rancher.
  • Build and manage infrastructure using Terraform and other IaC/configuration management tools.
  • Support CI/CD, API integration, automated provisioning, and platform orchestration.
  • Establish and maintain security, resiliency, backup, and disaster recovery standards.
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide technical recommendations for new initiatives.
  • Partner with engineering, security, operations, and vendors to deliver enterprise platform solutions.


What they’re Looking For

  • 6+ years of platform engineering/infrastructure experience.
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or similar automation/IaC tools.
  • Strong scripting skills with Python, PowerShell, and/or Bash.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.


Nice to Have's

  • Azure Solutions Architect, CKA, or AWS DevOps certification.
  • Experience with Rancher, NGINX, cert-manager, HashiCorp Vault, Sysdig, Fluentd, or Elasticsearch.
  • Experience with GitOps and ArgoCD.
  • Background supporting large-scale enterprise platforms.


Location: Cleveland, OH — 100% onsite at client headquarters
