Role Summary

Pulse Telesystems is hiring a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer to manage and evolve our hybrid infrastructure spanning AWS cloud and on-premise data centre environments. The ideal candidate is a strong troubleshooter with solid networking fundamentals, hands-on Kubernetes exposure, and experience building CI/CD pipelines.

• AWS services – EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda

• On-premise infrastructure management – servers, storage, backups

• Networking fundamentals – switches, routers, firewalls, VPN, load balancers

• Linux system administration

• CI/CD tools – Jenkins / GitLab CI / GitHub Actions

• Containerisation & orchestration – Docker, Kubernetes (pods, deployments, services, troubleshooting)

• Infrastructure as Code – Terraform / Ansible

• Monitoring & logging – Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack

• Scripting – Shell / Python

• Strong troubleshooting & root-cause analysis skills

• Security best practices and access management

• Incident response and disaster recovery planning

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain hybrid infrastructure comprising AWS cloud resources and on-premise servers, switches and routers

• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for smooth and reliable deployments

• Deploy, monitor and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters, pods, deployments and services

• Perform root-cause analysis and troubleshooting for infrastructure, network and application issues

• Configure, maintain and troubleshoot on-premise network devices including switches, routers and firewalls

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code tools

• Ensure high system uptime, security compliance, backups and disaster recovery readiness

• Collaborate closely with development teams to support smooth application deployments

• Monitor system and application performance, proactively optimising resource usage

• Maintain clear documentation of infrastructure, processes and runbooks

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field

• 4–7 years of hands-on experience in DevOps / Infrastructure engineering roles

• Strong working knowledge of AWS and on-premise networking (switches/routers)

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in a production environment

• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Relevant certifications (AWS Certified, CKA, or similar) are a plus
