We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer with proven experience in Contentful and client-facing technical leadership.

• Strong expertise in Contentful content modeling and space architecture, built according to best practices.
• Experience with multi-space consolidation.
• Hands-on work with content migration planning and execution.
• Ability to design authoring templates that enable self-service for non-engineers (marketers).
• Experience leading technical decisions and working directly with clients.
• Advanced English (written and spoken) for daily communication with US-based clients.

Projects

At Zaelot, we build scalable, enterprise-grade solutions with a collaborative team across 9 countries. In this project, we support a client’s content platform by owning the Contentful content model and space architecture. You will lead multi-space consolidation efforts, define best practices the team follows, and ensure content migrations are planned, executed safely, and remain repeatable. The work includes enabling self-service content creation through authoring templates, while collaborating closely with the client’s engineering, marketing, and product teams to deliver a clean, maintainable structure without disrupting live sites.

What you'll do

You will lead the ownership of the Contentful content model and space architecture, establishing the best practices our team follows.

• Lead multi-space consolidation: merge separate Contentful spaces into a clean, maintainable structure without disrupting live sites.
• Plan, oversee, and support content migrations that run safely and are repeatable.
• Design authoring templates so marketers can create and publish content independently, without engineering help.
• Act as the main technical contact with the client’s engineering, marketing, and product teams.
• Guide and support other engineers on the project through technical decisions and day-to-day collaboration.

• JavaScript/TypeScript experience for writing migration scripts and working with Contentful tooling.
• Experience with Contentful Migration CLI, Contentful Management API, and App Framework.
• Familiarity with Contentful GraphQL and Content Delivery APIs.
