Jeppesen is looking for a Cloud Deployment & DevOps Engineer for our Digital Solutions & Analytics implementation department, based in Bangalore, India. You will join a newly established team that supports internal implementation projects by managing deployed applications and configuration environments – spanning AWS, Customer Managed Deployments (CMD), and, for some projects, internal VM/RHEL-based servers – as well as the build pipelines and tooling around them.

What You'll Do

• Manage and support deployed applications and configuration environments across AWS, Customer Managed Deployments, and (for some projects) on-premises/VM-based infrastructure.
• Support deployment-related tooling and build pipelines, and coach implementation teams on how applications are deployed, maintained, and extended throughout the project lifecycle.
• DevOps activities around maintaining the configuration environments pipelines for the implementation teams are included.
• Work closely with our product development organization to evolve the toolchain, deployment solutions, and processes – making daily work easier and more efficient for implementation teams and developers.
• As part of a brand-new team, help define ways of working, and be comfortable both reaching out to other teams for guidance and taking initiative yourself.
• Support the long-term move from VM/server-based configuration environments toward cloud-based, Kubernetes-driven deployments.

You'll take an active, hands-on role deploying and maintaining applications and configuration environments, supporting implementation teams’ on day to day, and contributing ideas as we shape a brand-new team's ways of working.

Essential Skills And Experience

• 5–8 years of relevant working experience in cloud deployment, DevOps, or platform engineering
• Experience working with Python
• Experience with Kubernetes and container technologies (e.g., Docker)
• Experience working within AWS
• Experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL
• Experience with GitHub workflows/actions; exposure to GitLab pipelines is a plus
• Growing familiarity with cloud security and authentication/authorization concepts
• Advanced knowledge of English, both spoken and written
• Good presentation and communication skills

Valuable Skills And Experience

• BE, ME, MSc or BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
• Experience with Jeppesen Crew or Operations planning applications and how they are deployed
• Experience with observability tools such as Grafana
• Software testing using Behave/Gherkin
• RST documentation
• VS Code extensions
