As we scale, we’re seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the modernization of our existing SaaS platform running on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), while also contributing to the build and launch of other existing & new cloud-native platforms.

Role Summary

Senior DevOps Engineer will oversee DevOps and SecOps activities across GITF’s platforms. This includes enhancing the reliability, scalability, and security of our current OCI-hosted platform, and driving the deployment of other existing & new cloud-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities

🔧 Platform Operations & Automation

• Maintain and optimize infrastructure on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and other platforms.
• Automate provisioning using Terraform and Ansible.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Nagios).
• Ensure high reliability and performance across environments.

🚀 Cloud Platform Build & Deployment

• Build Kubernetes applications using Helm or Kustomize.
• Design, implement, and optimise CI/CD pipelines.
• Deploy containerized and VM workloads.

🔐 Security & Compliance

• Integrate security into CI/CD and infrastructure.
• Manage vulnerabilities using OWASP, SonarQube, and automated scanners.
• Lead incident response and maintain disaster recovery plans.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 27001 and GDPR.
• Apply security best practices across all stages of development and deployment.

🤝 Collaboration & Leadership

• Work closely with development and operations teams.
• Mentor DevOps Engineers and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Assist in generating new business/revenue streams and client innovation.

💰 Cost & Resource Management

• Optimize cloud usage and manage software/infrastructure licenses.
• Track and tag resources to ensure cost-effective scaling.

📚 Documentation & Tooling

• Maintain infrastructure and process documentation.
• Evaluate and implement new tools and frameworks.

What You’ll Bring

Essential

• 5+ years with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation.
• 3+ years building and deploying Kubernetes applications with Helm or Kustomize.
• Skilled in Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform and Ansible.
• 5+ years deploying to the cloud (AWS, OCI, GCP, Azure) or on-prem.
• Programming experience (Python, Java, JavaScript, Golang, or similar languages).

Nice to Have

• Experience with Spring Boot / Java.
• Familiarity with GitOps workflows.
• Experience with Nagios, Jenkins, Grafana, Prometheus, HashiCorp Vault.
• Cloud platform administration/infrastructure management experience.
• Knowledge of OCI, AWS, and other clouds is an advantage, as we are in the process of selecting the cloud platforms for our new solutions.
