Optomi, in partnership with a leading global enterprise technology and IT consulting organization, is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to help deliver Agentic AI solutions directly within enterprise client environments.


This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who can work closely with business users to understand existing processes, identify opportunities for AI-enabled automation, and turn those use cases into working production solutions.


What You’ll Do

  • Design, configure, and implement Agentic AI workflows and AI agents
  • Translate business processes and client use cases into technical solutions
  • Configure agent workflows, triggers, automation logic, and human-in-the-loop interactions
  • Build and support integrations, APIs, connectors, and data flows
  • Develop automation using Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar languages
  • Validate solutions against functional and non-functional requirements
  • Troubleshoot issues across development, testing, deployment, and production
  • Work directly with business and technical stakeholders throughout implementation
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, testing, and agile delivery
  • Support adoption and successful use of newly implemented AI workflows


What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience in software/application development, automation engineering, integration engineering, or a similar hands-on technical role
  • Hands-on experience with Agentic AI, AI agents, GenAI applications, or agent-enabled workflows
  • Experience with technologies such as LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, MCP, or similar Agentic AI frameworks
  • Strong programming or scripting experience with Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar languages
  • Experience building APIs, integrations, workflow automation, or orchestration solutions
  • Cloud experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Ability to work directly with non-technical business users and translate business processes into working technical solutions
  • Strong troubleshooting and production support capabilities


Nice to Have

  • Experience with AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI / Azure AI Foundry, Google Vertex AI, OpenAI, Claude, or similar AI platforms
  • Experience with business process automation or workflow platforms
  • Relevant AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud AI/cloud certification
  • Previous consulting, client-facing engineering, or Forward Deployed Engineering experience


Work Authorization

  • Candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders
  • Must be able to work on W2 without current or future sponsorship
