We’re looking for a Senior Java Software Developer to join a Financial Crime Product Development team building and maintaining backend services for an enterprise-grade platform used by global banks.

You’ll work in a small, autonomous Agile team, solving complex engineering challenges involving Java, distributed systems, large-scale data, performance, and reliability. This is a role where you can take real ownership, influence technical decisions, and work on systems where engineering quality has a tangible business impact.

YOUR ROLE

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java
• Build scalable and reliable solutions for an enterprise-grade platform
• Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability
• Work with large volumes of data across distributed systems
• Investigate complex production issues and implement sustainable solutions
• Contribute to the evolution of backend architecture and technical practices
• Collaborate closely with engineers within your Agile team
• Take ownership of features and technical solutions from development through production
• Help ensure the platform remains stable, performant, and ready to scale

IF YOU ARE A PERSON WHO

• Has strong commercial experience in Java backend development
• Has experience building and running production-grade software
• Understands distributed systems and scalable backend architecture
• Has experience working with large volumes of data
• Is comfortable working with cloud-based systems
• Takes a structured and analytical approach to complex problems
• Enjoys investigating production issues and finding their root causes
• Has experience working in Agile environments
• Can work independently while collaborating effectively with other engineers
• Takes ownership and is motivated by delivering high-quality solutions

Nice to have:

• Experience with Spring Boot
• Knowledge of Kafka or similar messaging systems
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of SQL databases
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana
• Experience with Python, TypeScript, or Angular
• Exposure to Spark, Elasticsearch, or StarRocks
