Position Description

At Regeneron, we use science and innovation to develop life-changing medicines for people with serious diseases. We are seeking a Temp, Process Development Engineer I to join our Preclinical Manufacturing & Process Development Group (PMPD), supporting the Purification Development group's high-throughput screening team in a full-time, on-site capacity. In this role, you will work at the intersection of data engineering, data science, and bioprocess domain expertise, collaborating closely with process engineers to understand data pain-points and implement tools that streamline daily workflows and improve data access. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing, science-driven organization making a meaningful difference to patients worldwide, ideal for a programmer and/or data engineer with a strong foundation in chemical or biomedical engineering.

Roles Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with scientists, engineers, and analysts to understand purification development workflows and identify high-impact opportunities to improve data flows
  • Deploy data pipelining and aggregation tools that enable engineers to easily find the data they need and derive insights
  • Aggregate, clean, and structure complex datasets to enable scalable, repeatable analyses or visualizations

Skills

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related discipline, with 0-3 years' experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong fundamental understanding of programming skills in Python and SQL, with an understanding of data modeling and database design
  • Initiative and drive to complete ambitious tasks and learn new technologies
  • Experience with Linux/Unix environments and using Git for version control and collaboration

Education

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related discipline
