What You’ll Be Responsible For

Circle is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Blockchain team and build the core infrastructure connecting Circle products to blockchain networks. You will develop and operate the shared platform that powers multi-chain transaction construction, account access, indexing, and transaction notifications. Working with engineering and product teams around the world, you will transform evolving blockchain technologies into secure, reliable, and reusable capabilities that accelerate product development across Circle.

What You'll Work On

• Build and maintain backend services supporting Circle products across 40+ blockchain networks.
• Develop reusable blockchain capabilities that make it easier for engineering teams around the world to integrate blockchain functionality into Circle products.
• Research and evaluate blockchain protocols and technologies to support reliable cross-chain solutions.
• Build well-tested, production-quality systems with a strong focus on correctness, security, observability, and reliability.
• Monitor and continuously improve the availability, latency, scalability, and performance of blockchain infrastructure.

What You'll Bring To Circle

Core Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 0-4+ years of backend software development experience, ideally using Golang or a similar programming language.
• Understanding of RESTful API design and development principles and experience working with SQL databases and schema design.
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure, as well as Kubernetes and Docker.
• Strong focus on correctness, security, testing, observability, and reliability when developing production-quality software.
• Written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese are required.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience designing and deploying scalable, production-quality software and supporting systems in production environments.
• Understanding of blockchain fundamentals and an interest in learning new protocols and tools.
• Experience with Solidity, Rust, or Move for smart contract or blockchain development.
• Experience using AI tools for coding, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Experience collaborating effectively with globally distributed teams.
