Role Description The Dynatrace Developer will be responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining Dynatrace monitoring solutions for applications and infrastructure in an on-site environment in Roseville, CA. This contract role includes setting up dashboards, alerts, and custom metrics; integrating Dynatrace with existing systems; and ensuring observability across critical services. The role involves analyzing performance data, diagnosing issues, collaborating with development and operations teams to implement improvements, and documenting monitoring standards and best practices. The Dynatrace Developer will also support incident response by providing insights from Dynatrace, optimizing configurations, and contributing to continuous performance tuning and reliability enhancements.
Qualifications

• Strong experience with Dynatrace configuration, dashboard creation, alerting rules, and integration with various application stacks.
• Solid understanding of application performance monitoring, observability concepts, and troubleshooting across distributed systems.
• Background in software development or scripting (e.g., Java, .NET, JavaScript, Python, or similar) to support instrumentation and automation.
• Knowledge of infrastructure and cloud environments (e.g., Windows/Linux servers, containers, Kubernetes, or public cloud platforms).
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and integrating monitoring into deployment workflows.
• Ability to interpret performance metrics, logs, and traces, and translate findings into actionable recommendations for technical teams.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate on-site with cross-functional stakeholders and document technical configurations clearly.
• Relevant certifications or training in Dynatrace, APM tools, cloud technologies, or DevOps methodologies are beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
