Junior Network Automation Engineer

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for a young technical talent who wants to learn, build, and solve real-world networking problems at zequenze. You don’t need years of experience—we care much more about technical curiosity, problem-solving skills, and willingness to learn.Required skills and experience

• Solid basics with Linux (comfortable using the command line and working with logs).
• Understanding of TCP/IP and networking fundamentals.
• Working knowledge of Python (e.g., scripting and simple automation).
• Familiarity with Git (basic branching, commits, and collaboration).
• Exposure to APIs (consuming endpoints, understanding request/response patterns).
• Strong curiosity and a willingness to troubleshoot until you can clearly explain why something isn’t working.

Language

• Spanish required.
• English is a plus.

Projects

At zequenze, we work at the intersection of networking, automation, and real-world infrastructure. As a Junior Network Automation Engineer, we’ll have you support network and telecom/ISP environments across Latin America. You’ll be part of a hands-on team that builds and improves network automation workflows, integrates with APIs, and helps modernize operational processes in production-like settings. The goal is to transform repeatable troubleshooting and configuration tasks into reliable automation—while you learn how TCP/IP fundamentals, Linux, and scripting come together to solve actual connectivity and network behavior issues.

What you’ll do

• Support network automation initiatives for telecom/ISP infrastructure across Latin America.
• Develop and maintain Python-based automation scripts and tooling to interact with networking systems.
• Work with Linux environments to troubleshoot networking issues, logs, and connectivity symptoms.
• Build and consume APIs to integrate automation workflows with existing systems and services.
• Apply TCP/IP and networking fundamentals to validate changes and understand root causes.
• Use Git to collaborate on code, review changes, and maintain clear version history.
• Help investigate incidents and debugging tasks, documenting findings and learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with the team to improve reliability, observability, and repeatability of automation tasks.

Remote setup

We support remote work from Latin America. We also value learning and mentorship: we’ll help you grow from fundamentals (Linux, TCP/IP, Python) into real network automation work that supports production environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with network automation concepts (e.g., configuration management ideas, API-driven operations, or scripted troubleshooting).
• Exposure to telecom/ISP environments or familiarity with common networking workflows.
• Basic cloud familiarity (using cloud services conceptually, even if not deeply).
• Prior projects (school, personal, or internship) where you used Python to solve practical problems.
• Comfort reading technical documentation and turning it into executable steps.
