Founded 20 years ago and headquartered in Chicago, the DV Group of financial services firms has grown to more than 600 people operating throughout North America, Europe and Asia. Since spinning out of a large brokerage firm in 2016, DV Trading has rapidly scaled as an independent proprietary trading firm utilizing its own capital, trading strategies, and risk management methodologies to provide liquidity to worldwide financial markets and hedging opportunities to commodity producers and users. Now, DV group affiliates include two broker dealers, a cryptocurrency market making firm, and a bourgeoning investment adviser. Overview: DV Trading’s security team is looking for a Security Engineer Intern to get hands-on exposure to a real trading firm’s security program. You’ll work directly with our security engineers on scoped projects that support day-to-day operations, threat detection, and risk management in a fast-paced enterprise environment.  

Responsibilities

Support day-to-day security operations under the guidance of your mentor  Help triage, document, and track security detections and incidents  Assist with tuning and maintaining security tooling  Contribute to automation/scripting projects that streamline security workflows  Support risk assessments, gap analysis, and control testing  Help produce reporting and metrics on security program health  Assist with security awareness initiatives across the firm 

Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field   Interest in cybersecurity and eagerness to learn  Basic familiarity with Windows/macOS/Linux and networking fundamentals Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills Exposure to scripting or programming (Python, Powershell, etc) is a plus Coursework or personal projects involving AI/ML is a plus  DV is not accepting unsolicited resumes from search firms.
