Tableau Dashboarding Analyst

THIS IS OPEN AS A 3 MONTH CONTRACT TO HIRE

HYBRID ONSITE 2-3x PER WEEK IN NEWPORT NEWS, VA

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

• Builds and maintains dashboards and automated reports that track branch performance, efficiency, and customer service metrics.
• Establishes performance baselines prior to each workflow change and measures results against those baselines after implementation.
• Analyzes performance trends across branches to identify top performers, outliers, and root causes of variation.
• Prepares executive-level performance summaries and visualizations
• Conducts statistical analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of pilot programs before they are rolled out network-wide.
• Partners with IT and data governance teams to resolve data quality issues, gaps, or system limitations.
• Documents data definitions, sources, and calculation methodologies to ensure consistency and auditability of all reporting.
• Builds self-service reporting tools and trains staff to interpret and use them independently.
• Tracks longer-term adoption and sustainment metrics to confirm that process and training changes are holding after rollout.
• Responds to ad hoc data requests from program leadership to support ongoing decision-making.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Statistics, or related quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
• Two to three years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence, preferably within financial services.
• Strong skills in data visualization and dashboarding tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar) and comfort working with large datasets.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
