Java Software Architect

About the Role

As a Java Software Architect based in our Alabama office, you will lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance software solutions using Java technologies. Your primary focus will be to architect robust applications that integrate seamlessly with various systems, ensuring maintainability and extensibility. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical designs. Job Responsibilities

Design and develop architectural blueprints and technical standards for Java-based applications.

Lead the integration of applications with external systems and services using industry-standard protocols and frameworks.

Mentor and guide development teams on object-oriented design principles and best practices.

Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and tools to optimize application performance and scalability.

Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment between technical solutions and business objectives.

Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain high-quality code standards.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to application architecture and integration.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Extensive experience in Java programming and software architecture design.

Proficiency with Hibernate ORM framework and application integration techniques.

Strong understanding of object-oriented methodologies and design patterns.

Experience working in Linux operating system environments.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline.

Experience with cloud platforms and microservices architecture.

Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Previous experience in a leadership or technical architect role.
