We are seeking a motivated .NET Developer to support a large-scale application modernization initiative. This contract position will focus on migrating legacy applications and services from .NET Framework 4.x to .NET 6, with an emphasis on C# development, API modernization, and SQL Server integration.

Employment Type

Compensation

  • Pay: Up to $28.00 per hour

Required Work Authorization

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the migration of applications from .NET Framework 4.x to .NET 6
  • Develop and maintain applications using C#
  • Convert legacy ASP.NET WebForms applications to modern solutions
  • Support the migration of WCF services to RESTful APIs
  • Write, test, and debug code following established development standards
  • Write SQL queries and interact with Microsoft SQL Server databases
  • Participate in code reviews and collaborate with development teams
  • Perform functional testing to ensure quality and reliability

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of professional software development experience
  • Experience programming in C#
  • Knowledge of .NET Framework and/or .NET Core/.NET 6
  • Experience writing SQL queries
  • Understanding of software development best practices
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ASP.NET WebForms
  • Experience with Blazor Server
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs
  • Experience working with WCF services
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
