About the Role

A leading automotive organization is seeking a Data and Solution Architect to define, govern, and advance enterprise data architecture supporting scalable, trusted, and responsible AI solutions.

The role focuses on designing data platforms, models, semantic structures, integrations, and architectural standards that enable AI/ML, Generative AI, Agentic AI, advanced analytics, experimentation, and production deployment. You’ll work across architecture, data governance, engineering, AI, legal, compliance, and business teams to ensure data is secure, reliable, reusable, and AI-ready.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design of logical, physical, and semantic data architectures supporting AI, advanced analytics, GenAI, and Agentic AI use cases.
• Define AI-ready data models, feature-oriented structures, and analytics-ready data assets.
• Ensure alignment between enterprise data platforms, AI tooling, and MLOps pipelines.
• Support governance of the Foundry Ontology as an enterprise semantic layer for AI use cases.
• Establish and maintain data standards, metadata practices, naming conventions, and master/reference data patterns.
• Ensure consistent business definitions, critical data elements, and feature definitions across AI initiatives.
• Partner with Data Governance, Legal, and Compliance teams on responsible and compliant AI data usage.
• Architect data flows and patterns for AI proofs of concept, experimentation environments, and sandbox platforms.
• Guide data sourcing, profiling, and readiness activities for Data Scientists and Data & AI Engineers.
• Own the data architecture stage-gate process across POC, pilot, and production phases.
• Develop and maintain AI-readiness scorecards to assess data asset maturity.
• Architect integrations across source systems, data platforms, analytics tools, and AI services.
• Evaluate and onboard new data sources and technologies as AI requirements evolve.
• Define reference architectures and architectural guardrails for cloud, hybrid, and global deployments.
• Lead or support solution architecture development for projects and products.
• Serve as an architecture authority for AI-related initiatives, design reviews, and technical decisions.
• Mentor junior architects and data engineers and provide guidance to delivery teams.
• Contribute to architecture forums, communities of practice, standards bodies, and AI Center of Excellence initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in data architecture, solution architecture, enterprise data platforms, or analytics architecture.
• Demonstrated experience supporting AI/ML, advanced analytics, or data-driven products and initiatives.
• Experience working within federated governance or hub-and-spoke operating models.
• Experience with data profiling and data quality management.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture, integration, data governance, and semantic architecture.
• Ability to work across technical and business stakeholders and influence architecture decisions.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and architectural leadership skills.

Workstyle & Eligibility

• Primarily on-site in Marysville, OH.
• One remote workday per week may be possible with prior departmental approval.
