Summary

In this role, you will design, build, test, deploy, and support intelligent automation solutions that improve business processes across Vizient.

You will use Power Platform, UiPath, APIs, cloud services, and software engineering practices to deliver reliable production solutions and integrate automation with enterprise applications and data.

You will work closely with business analysts, technical leads, quality engineers, and business partners from solution discovery through production support.

This role requires strong hands-on engineering skills and the ability to independently own moderately complex to complex automation solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop intelligent automation solutions using Power Platform, UiPath, APIs, cloud services, and other approved technologies.
• Translate business requirements and process designs into maintainable technical solutions.
• Build workflows, automations, integrations, custom connectors, reusable components, and supporting services.
• Participate in technical design reviews and incorporate established architecture and engineering standards.
• Develop and consume REST APIs and integrate automation solutions with enterprise applications, databases, files, queues, and cloud services.
• Use source control, code review, automated testing, CI/CD, configuration management, and environment-promotion practices.
• Implement appropriate security, credential management, exception handling, retry, logging, monitoring, and recovery patterns.
• Partner with Quality Engineering to develop testable solutions, resolve defects, and support deployment, production validation, monitoring, incident resolution, and root-cause analysis.
• Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, configuration details, and support knowledge.
• Develop reusable automation components and patterns, identify opportunities to simplify solutions and reduce technical debt, and replace fragile automation with more reliable integration approaches.
• Stay current with Power Platform, UiPath, cloud, integration, and AI-enabled automation capabilities.
• Work effectively with business analysts, engineers, quality engineers, architects, security teams, and business stakeholders while providing technical guidance to less-experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree preferred.
• 5 or more years of experience in software engineering, automation engineering, application development, enterprise integration, or related technology functions required.
• Strong hands-on experience with Power Platform and/or UiPath required.
• Experience with at least one programming or scripting language, such as C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or PowerShell, required.
• Experience with REST APIs, databases, enterprise integrations, source control, and modern software development practices required.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, authentication and security patterns, logging, and production support preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to independently deliver production automation solutions from technical design through deployment and support required.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and collaboration skills required.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Dataverse, custom connectors, or comparable cloud integration services preferred.
• Experience with UiPath Orchestrator, queues, assets, reusable components, and enterprise deployment practices preferred.
• Experience with AI-enabled automation, LLM integrations, intelligent document processing, or agentic workflows preferred.
• Experience working in healthcare or another regulated environment preferred.

Estimated Hiring Range

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $102,400.00 to $179,000.00.
