Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java technologies.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Collaborate with Japanese stakeholders, business users, and project teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance application performance.
- Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.
- Support production incidents, system enhancements, and ongoing maintenance activities.
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in Java application development.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Java / Core Java
- Spring Boot or similar Java frameworks
- SQL and relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.)
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Japanese communication skills at JLPT N3 or above, with the ability to communicate effectively with Japanese stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience with Snowflake data platform.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools, such as Claude Code.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Previous experience working with Japanese clients or offshore/onshore delivery models.
