(Senior) Backend Software Developer (m/f/d)

To build our first team at our brand-new location in Guadalajara, Mexico, we are looking for dedicated Backend Software Developers (m/f/d). You will play a central role in shaping the local workspace, building scalable backend systems, supporting our growing engineering team, and establishing a seamless connection with our central functions.

Your Tasks

• You lead the architecture and design of scalable, reliable, and secure backend systems handling millions of daily requests
• You set the technical direction for workflows with diverse throughput and latency demands, balancing innovation with long-term maintainability
• You design, build, and optimize resilient data pipelines that combine vehicle data with third-party content
• You own the implementation of REST and data-focused APIs and services consumed both internally and externally
• You define data storage strategies and guide the implementation of data warehouse and AI platform solutions while ensuring data integrity, quality, and scalability
• You champion system performance and reliability by proactively identifying bottlenecks, ensuring SLAs, and optimizing the big data stack
• You mentor junior engineers in coding standards, CI/CD, testing, and agile delivery while guiding cross-functional stakeholders on backend strategy

• You bring a proven track record in designing large-scale distributed systems and cloud-native architectures on Azure, AWS, or GCP using Docker and Kubernetes
• You demonstrate strong expertise in data warehouse design, large-scale query processing, and stream processing with Apache Flink or Spark Streaming
• You possess solid experience in API development with Go or Java/Spring Boot as well as SQL/NoSQL database modeling, optimization, and security compliance
• You have hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and maintaining production-grade systems
• You combine exceptional problem-solving and communication skills with strong familiarity in agile methodologies like Scrum, SAFe, or Kanban
• You have a demonstrated ability to lead projects, mentor engineers, and collaborate effectively within distributed international teams
• You offer excellent written and verbal communication skills in English to collaborate effectively in international environments
