What To Expect

We are looking for an Image Acquisition & Computer Vision Systems Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of advanced vision-based solutions.

You will be responsible for defining, evaluating, integrating and optimizing image acquisition systems for Computer Vision applications, acting as the technical interface between hardware suppliers and vision software development teams. Your expertise will be key in ensuring that camera and imaging systems deliver the performance required by advanced image processing and AI algorithms.

This position is on-site in Getafe (Madrid).

General Responsibilities

• Define and select cameras, optics, lighting systems and image acquisition components according to project requirements.
• Manage technical interactions with camera and vision system suppliers.
• Evaluate hardware performance and perform technical trade-off analyses between different imaging solutions.
• Analyze and optimize image acquisition parameters such as resolution, frame rate, exposure time, gain, dynamic range, color depth and synchronization.
• Ensure the successful integration of image acquisition systems within the overall application architecture.
• Perform validation, calibration and commissioning activities for vision systems.
• Collaborate with Software, AI and Computer Vision teams to adapt hardware configurations to algorithm and model requirements.
• Identify technical risks and propose improvements related to image acquisition and processing performance.

What You Bring Along

• University degree in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Experience working with industrial cameras and image acquisition systems.
• Strong understanding of image capture parameters and their impact on Computer Vision performance.
• Knowledge of applied optics, including focal length, field of view (FOV), aperture, depth of field and optical distortions.
• Experience in camera system selection, integration and validation.
• Familiarity with industrial standards and protocols such as GigE Vision, USB3 Vision, GenICam and Camera Link.
• Experience working with hardware suppliers and technical documentation analysis.
• English level B2 or higher.
• Proactive mindset, analytical thinking and strong communication skills.
