Junior/Mid Java Developer with German

🚀Junior/Mid Java Developer | German B2+ | Full Remote

At CrewHarbor, we connect German companies with experienced IT professionals from Romania.

We are currently looking for 3 Java Developers to support a long-term software development initiative in the German public sector.

💻 What you’ll be working on:

✔ Developing and maintaining Java-based software solutions

✔ Working with Java EE and/or Spring Boot

✔ Implementing REST and SOAP interfaces

✔ Contributing to object-oriented data modelling

✔ Working with relational databases and potentially NoSQL technologies

✔ Using Git, Jira and Maven throughout the development lifecycle

✔ Supporting CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation

✔ Working with Java Application Servers and container environments

✔ Collaborating in Scrum / agile development teams

🔎 What we’re looking for:

✔ 3+ years of professional experience in Java software development

✔ Hands-on experience with Java and Spring / Spring Boot

✔ Experience with REST and/or SOAP

✔ Knowledge of Git, Jira and Maven

✔ Experience with relational databases

✔ CI/CD knowledge, ideally Jenkins

✔ Experience with Docker / container technologies

✔ Linux and Windows experience

✔ JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS are advantageous

✔ Experience with Scrum or comparable agile methodologies

✔ German language skills at B2 level or above

⭐ Nice to have:

✔ Previous experience with German public-sector projects

✔ NoSQL database experience

✔ Experience introducing, integrating or adapting Java-based specialist applications

✔ Scrum certification

✔ Knowledge of accessibility standards such as BITV

🎯 Specialized profile

For one of the three positions, we are particularly interested in candidates with Spring / Spring Boot and Vaadin experience.

Previous experience with school administration or school management software would be particularly valuable for this profile.
