The role

We’re looking for a Software Engineer – Mobile to contribute to the development of the Pago app and help us build reliable, high-quality mobile experiences used by hundreds of thousands of people.

This role is a good fit for someone early in their engineering journey, but already serious about their craft — someone who understands mobile development foundations, learns fast, builds things on their own, and communicates clearly in a fast-moving product team.

We care less about years on paper and more about proof of curiosity, discipline and real work: apps built, side projects, portfolio, GitHub activity, competitions, strong academic results or anything that shows you like building and improving things.

What You’ll Do

• Explore AI-enabled development workflows and share useful findings with the team
• Develop, maintain and improve features for the Pago mobile app, working closely with product, design, backend and QA colleagues
• Write clean, readable and maintainable code that supports both speed and long-term product quality
• Participate in code reviews, testing and technical discussions
• Investigate and solve bugs, performance issues, crashes and app stability problems
• Learn and apply modern mobile development practices, tools and frameworks
• Take part in dev calls, brainstorms and problem-solving conversations
• Communicate clearly when clarifying requirements, trade-offs, risks or implementation options

• You’ve built things from 0 to 1 — apps, prototypes, tools or side projects that actually work
• You’ve completed difficult projects for your age or experience level
• You can show a portfolio, GitHub, apps, competitions or other proof of real work
• You are rigorous, curious and willing to learn fast
• You don’t wait for perfect instructions — you figure things out and keep moving
• You communicate clearly when you’re stuck, when you need help or when you see a better way

• Mobile apps or side projects built and shipped by you
• Projects with real users, even small ones
• Strong academic performance, hackathons, competitions or top results in your cohort
• Open-source contributions, GitHub activity or technical experiments
• Evidence that you can take a hard problem, break it down and finish it
• Any project where you had to learn something difficult quickly and make it work
