Neo4J Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Neo4J Developer to design, develop, and optimize graph-based applications and backend services using Neo4j, Cypher, Java, Spring Boot, Graph Data Modeling, Git/GitLab, and CI/CD. The role focuses on building scalable graph solutions, production-grade microservices, and APIs that support complex relationship-driven and network-oriented use cases.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Neo4j, Cypher, graph data modeling, Java, Spring Boot, REST/GraphQL APIs, and performance optimization. Experience with Snowflake, Kafka, Spark, cloud platforms, and telecom/network data will be highly valuable. You will work closely with data engineers, architects, and product teams to build reliable, scalable solutions for large-volume and high-frequency data environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement graph data models in Neo4j to support complex relationship-driven use cases.
• Develop and optimize Cypher queries for large-scale graph datasets.
• Design Neo4j schemas, indexes, constraints, and data structures to support performance and scalability.
• Perform Neo4j query and performance tuning, identifying and resolving bottlenecks across large datasets.
• Develop scalable backend services and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design, build, and maintain secure RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Implement API best practices including versioning, OpenAPI/Swagger documentation, OAuth2, and JWT-based security.
• Work with graph algorithms such as shortest path, centrality, and connectivity analysis where applicable.
• Utilize APOC procedures and Neo4j capabilities to support advanced graph processing requirements.
• Collaborate with data engineers and architects to integrate graph data with Snowflake and enterprise data warehouse environments.
• Develop solutions for querying and optimizing Snowflake SQL for reporting, historical trend analysis, and graph-derived insights.
• Support high-volume data ingestion using Kafka, Spark, or related streaming and big-data technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues across the application, API, graph database, and data layers.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, technical design sessions, and engineering best practices.
• Maintain high standards for code quality, security, scalability, reliability, and CI/CD automation.
• Mentor junior developers on Neo4j, graph data modeling, Cypher, Java, and Spring Boot best practices.
• Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Software Development or related technical roles.
• Strong hands-on production experience with Neo4j and Cypher.
• Strong experience with graph data modeling, schema design, indexing, constraints, and complex interconnected datasets.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for developing production-grade microservices and APIs.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Strong understanding of Cypher query development and performance optimization.
• Experience with Git/GitLab and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience troubleshooting and optimizing application and database performance.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, coding standards, testing, and secure development practices.
• Ability to work effectively with data engineers, architects, product teams, and other technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently troubleshoot complex technical issues.
