Payment Systems Support (Way4 Specialist)

Position Summary

The Way4 Payment Systems Specialist is responsible for administering, supporting, and optimizing the Way4 payment platform. The role focuses on payment processing operations, card issuing and acquiring, transaction monitoring, system support, troubleshooting, and integration with payment networks and third-party systems to ensure secure, reliable, and high-availability payment services.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and support the Way4 payment platform
• Monitor daily payment processing operations and system performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve transaction, application, and integration issues
• Support card issuing, acquiring, merchant, and payment product configurations
• Manage integrations with Visa, Mastercard, payment gateways, and external systems
• Perform incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution
• Support system upgrades, patches, enhancements, and releases
• Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS, security policies, and regulatory requirements
• Prepare and maintain operational and technical documentation
• Collaborate with business, operations, and technology teams to implement new payment services

Must-Have SkillsPayment Domain Expertise

• Hands-on experience with the Way4 Payment Platform
• Strong understanding of electronic payments, card issuing, and card acquiring
• Knowledge of Visa, Mastercard, and other payment schemes
• Understanding of payment transaction lifecycle, settlement, and reconciliation processes

Technical Skills

• Strong SQL and database query skills
• Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar databases
• Knowledge of API integrations (REST/SOAP)
• Experience with payment gateway connectivity
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments
• Experience in application support, transaction analysis, and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of system monitoring, incident management, and root cause analysis

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience in Banking, FinTech, or Payment Service Provider (PSP) environments
• Knowledge of PCI-DSS and payment security standards
• Understanding of ISO 8583 messaging standards
• Experience with digital wallets and mobile payment solutions
• Experience supporting high-volume transaction processing systems
• Knowledge of ATM, POS, E-Commerce, and Real-Time Payment systems
• Understanding of EMV card processing standards

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in software engineering

Preferred

• Master's Degree in a relevant field
• Banking, Payments, or FinTech-related certifications

Experience Required

• 3 to 5 years of experience in Payment Systems, Banking Technology, FinTech, or Application Support environments
• Proven hands-on experience with the Way4 Payment Platform
• Experience supporting mission-critical payment processing and production environments
