Software Engineer

Role Purpose

The Software Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that meet the needs of the business. This role involves working on a variety of tasks, including coding, debugging, testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products. The purpose of this role is to apply solid programming skills and contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes while progressively taking on more complex projects and responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and test moderately complex software applications based on detailed design specifications.
• Engage in detailed technical discussions to refine requirements and propose innovative solutions.
• Perform unit testing and contribute to integration testing to ensure the reliability of software.
• Support and/or install applications/operating systems.
• Participate in design reviews.
• Document technical specifications, processes, and code to ensure knowledge transfer and maintainability.
• Ensure adherence to project governance frameworks, such as version control and code review processe

Essential:

• Must have hands-on experience in Java
• Strong experience in RESTful APIs
• Experience in Microservices architecture, and backend system design.
• Experience in building scalable applications with Cloud and DevOps practices.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and/or SQL Server
• Should have knowledge on Code Generation tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude code)
• Hands-on Experience in Golang programming language
• Security Practices: Awareness of DevSecOps practices, secrets management, and compliance standards
• Experience working Confluence, JIRA and in an Agile team.
