Senior Software Engineer – React Native, Next.js, Node.js, GCP

• Cpl are partnering with an innovative, rapidly growing technology company in the health and performance sector to hire a Senior TypeScript Engineer. This is an opportunity to join a small, experienced engineering team building a consumer product used by athletes to make better training and nutrition decisions.
• You will work across mobile, web and backend development, taking ownership of features from design through to production. The role would suit someone who enjoys product engineering, likes working across a modern TypeScript stack and wants visible impact in a growing business.
• Location: Dublin – hybrid
• Salary: €85,000–€110,000 + options

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver product features across mobile, web and backend services.
• Work across React Native, Next.js and Node.js in a modern TypeScript environment.
• Contribute to the design and development of APIs, backend services and data models.
• Support delivery of high-quality iOS and Android mobile experiences.
• Take ownership of features through build, release, monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with engineering and product stakeholders to deliver simple, scalable solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, technical planning and engineering best practices.
• Help improve reliability, performance and quality across the platform.
• Must have Irish/EU Citizenship and be based within a commutable distance to Dublin

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial software engineering experience.
• Strong TypeScript experience, with React Native experience preferred; deep React experience will also be considered.
• Experience building consumer-facing software and owning features end to end.
• Good knowledge of frontend and backend development, including APIs and databases.
• Experience working with production systems, including debugging, monitoring, releases or performance improvements.
• Ability to clearly explain the work you have personally built and the impact it delivered.
• A collaborative, pragmatic approach and interest in product outcomes.
• Experience with React Native/Expo, GCP, authentication, payments or privacy-sensitive data would be beneficial.
